MADmodules Standards

The MADmodules Standards Documents may be freely downloaded here. Rest assured that the current MADmodules On30 specifications are fully backwards-compatible with the previous Mid-Atlantic On30 specifications presented here:

MADmodules On30 Standards Full Rev2.01 (UPDATED MAY 16, 2010)

Please note that when downloading the Rev 2.01 MADModules On30 Standards, the references in the document will reflect the older Mid-Atlantic name. MADmodules and Mid-Atlantic On30 specifications are one-in-the-same.

Berrett Hill Sectional Guidelines

Kevin Hunter’s Berrett Hill Sectional Guidelines are presented as an adjunct specification to the MADmodules Standards. A PDF of the most recent version of his specification is included here:

Other Module Ideas

For those interested in building a super-simple 2′x4′ module frame that is “on spec” for a basic MADmodule, the following PDF offers a simple, proven plan.

Super Simple Module Plans

Another simple module design was presented in Model Railroader magazine in the November 1990 issue. A version of that design, modified to meet the MADmodule specification, is presented here:

The Mosquito Module (modified to MADmodule spec)

Please note that the Super Simple Module and The Mosquito Module are not the same as the MADmodules kit offered by Berrett Hill Trains. They are presented here as alternatives.
